What is the Governor of South Carolina's Ordinance for Vacation Rentals?
It is with great relief we are able to announce that affected May 4, 2020 all vacation rental restrictions have been lifted and restaurants are allowed to open for outdoor dining. Gov. Henry McMaster called for the reopening of restaurants for indoor dining on Monday, May 11 with social distancing and other safety measures.
Are the beaches open?
Beaches are open with some restrictions on certain beach access points and parking lots. Our vacation rentals have beach access.
Are the Restaurants Open?
Restaurants are open and are able to offer to-go, curbside to-go, delivery and outdoor dining (May 4th). Click here for a list of all restaurants offering these services. Check out the SERG group for the best outdoor dining options.
What activities are open?
With your reservation with Vacation Homes of Hilton Head, you will receive our signature Southern Hospitality Pass. Currently golf and mini golf and bike rentals are open for you. You can also spend some time shopping at our local boutqiues which are now open. Bike rides on the paths and the beach is a great way to get outside and see Hilton Head's amazing nature. Parks are beginning to open.
Are the Grocery Stores Open?
Yes, the grocery stores are open. The local grocery stores are working hard to keep the shelves stocked regularly. Mr. Martin owner of Piggly Wiggly is asking us to send guests his way, he is ready for you! In addition, all other groceries stores are open. Be sure to check their operating hours. Other stores include Kroger, Publix, Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, and The Fresh Market.
What cleaning practices is VHHH using to cope with COVID-19?
Professional cleaning service by our contracted cleaning companies includes special focus on disinfection of high-use touch points, including surfaces, door handles, curtain rods, light switches, etc. disinfecting with EPA-approved products. We spray all bed spreads, quilts and decorative pillows inlucding all soft surfaces, upholstered dining chairs and sofas, with EPA-approved disinfectant spray. In addition, we disinfect TV remotes and all other electronics.
Can I Cancel My Reservation?
Vacation Homes of Hilton Head is open for business and we are adhering to our agreed upon cancelation policy which is stated in your rental contract and on our website. If you have read, understand, and acknowledge the cancelation policy and still wish to cancel accepting all penalties please email us. Please provide your reservation name, property rented, dates of stay, and your reservation number. All of this information can be found on your rental contract.
What do I do if I purchased Travel Insurance?
In the event you have purchased travel insurance you will need to reach out to the travel protection provider directly. They will be able to assist you with all questions related to trip protection, coverage, and cancelation. When calling be sure you have your contract in hand to provide all pertinent information.
