Memorable meals always include good food, good conversation, and good company. For those of us vacationing with our pets, it’s important to make sure that they get to be included in the fun. When dining out, it’s usually difficult to leave your furry friend behind, so we’ve rounded up just a few of the amazing restaurants Hilton Head has to offer that allow your pets to dine with you. Not seeing what you want here? Hilton Head Island has more dining options for you and your dog. After all, pets are part of the family too!
Skull Creek Boathouse offers a large outdoor dining space with a breathtaking view. The expansive menu is sure to please every member of your group while your pet has room to sprawl out and enjoy the scenery. The outdoor bar is always lively and is the perfect place to watch a Lowcountry sunset. Pick up a souvenir on your way out at the gift shop to remember your experience forever or to bring a gift back home for a loved one!
Hudson’s Seafood House
Hudson’s Seafood House has been a local favorite since 1967. All of the outdoor tables feature views of Port Royal Sound, where the fresh seafood is sourced from. Come enjoy some true Lowcountry seafood straight from Hudson’s docks to your table. The outdoor seating can fill up fast during the busy summer months, and with a first come first serve policy, be prepared for a bit of a wait, which is absolutely worth it! Nothing embodies the essence of Hilton Head quite like Hudson’s.
Charbar is a great option if you’re looking for cuisine other than seafood. Charbar is known for their award winning burgers and relaxed atmosphere. There is a great outdoor bar with a grassy lawn, outdoor seating, a fire pit, and live music that is perfect for both children and pets alike. After dinner, don’t forget to try something off their dessert menu. They have spiked milkshakes for the adults, and their cookie pie is to die for!
The French Bakery
The French Bakery is located in Hilton Head’s premier mid-island shopping destination - Shelter Cove Towne Center. Because they don’t serve dinner, this is the ideal spot for a great brunch or lunch. Stop by for coffee, freshly baked breads, sandwiches, salads or delicious crepes you won’t find anywhere else on the island. Additionally, there is a marsh-front park right outside where you can walk your pet or let your kids play
